Alldays – History and Heritage
The Royal Welsh Show at Llanelwedd, Builth Wells draws huge numbers each year, and drawing a particular crowd there this month was a slice of our very own history and heritage.
Spotted, still in perfect working condition, and being used to demonstrate live ironwork forging for an eager audience was this beauty from ALLDAYS & ONIONS LTD Birmingham.
Let us know if you see any other nuggets of our history on your travels.

Allday who was closely involved with Alcosa Works in Stourport-on-Severn. His father and my grandfather was Percy Allday.
The company has a very interesting history. The book by Norman Painting is a fascinating volume of facts and information.
It is interesting the company is now based in Shelf. I was in Huddersfield for three years studying music and so know many places in and around that area.
It would be very interesting to visit the works sometime.
With all good wishes.
