7&8 Wellington Place, Leeds – Car Park & Above Ground Smoke Ventilation System
Wellington Place provides a dynamic environment, set within a 22-acre Business Quarter, strategically located within Leeds City Centre, with excellent transport links, providing a compelling and secure environment in which to work.

The 378,000 sq. ft building will become the latest regional Government Hub for HMRC and NHS Digital. The building will welcome 6,000 public servants to the development, the first of which will move in late 2020.
PSB UK Ltd recently handed over this prestigious project to Wates Construction for the Basement Car Park & Above Ground Natural Ventilation Systems.
The Car Park is a fully mechanical ventilation system compliant with Approved Documents B & F of the current Building Regulations and designed in accordance with British Standard BS7346: Part 7: 2013 is installed. The system is to be designed to provide smoke dispersal in accordance with BS7346: Part 7: 2013 Clause 9 in the event of fire.
The Above Ground & Lobby Smoke Control Systems has been designed to provide natural ventilation, from the Staircores and associated lobbies, in accordance with the requirements of The Approved Document B2 and BS9991.
The core is protected from smoke contamination by a natural lobby smoke control system with makeup air to this system is via an automatic opening ventilator (AOV) mounted on top of the Staircores at roof level.
PSB UK Ltd also provided a sophisticated environmental cooling system in the main & individual atriums in building 7&8.
