Kirkstall Forge J1 – Leeds – LS5 3NE
Kirkstall forge was the longest continually used industrial site in the UK until 2003. The new £ 400 million development which stands on a 57-acre site will be transformed to include 1,050 Homes, 400,000 sq. ft. of commercial, retail, leisure and a primary school within 6 minutes from Leeds by train.
PSB UK Ltd recently handed over the 1st stage of this prestigious project to Wates Construction Ltd for the Basement Car Park & Above Ground Ventilation Systems.
The installed Car Park System, which caters for 54 secure car & 84 cycle spaces has a fully mechanical ventilation system compliant with Approved Documents B & F of the current Building Regulations designed in accordance with British Standard BS7346: Part 7: 2013. The system is to be designed to provide smoke dispersal in accordance with BS7346: Part 7: 2013 Clause 9 in the event of fire.
The above ground firefighting stairwell smoke control system and associated controls are linked to the fire alarm system.
