MPS, Hammersmith, London – Car Park Smoke Ventilation System
Wates Construction was appointed to refurbish Hammersmith Police Station the 1930s Grade II listed station on Shepherd’s Bush Road, the borough’s only full time police station.
The project also includes the construction of an adjoining new build custody facility and flexible office space in addition to basement car parking and stables for the mounted branch.
PSB UK Ltd recently handed over this prestigious project to Wates Construction for the Basement Car Park.
The underground Car Park is a fully mechanical ventilation system compliant with Approved Documents B & F of the current Building Regulations and designed in accordance with British Standard BS7346: Part 7: 2013 installed. The system is designed to provide smoke dispersal in accordance with BS7346: Part 7: 2013 Clause 9 in the event of fire.
