Waitrose, John Lewis Store – Albion Way, Horsham
PSB worked with the appointed M&E Contractor, to successfully complete the design, supply installation and commissioning of the car park ventilation system at this new prestigious store.
The assisted natural ventilation system installed was designed in accordance with current Building Regulations, installing impulse fans to improve the flow of air throughout the car park to compensate for the area of ventilation openings and ensure clearance of hazardous exhaust emissions
The system is controlled by a bespoke PSB main control panel interacting with a series of Detectors allowing the programmed plc controls to operate selected impulse fans and ensure CO conditions are kept to a minimal level.
In the unlikely event of a fire occurring within the car park, a fire service override function is also installed to enable the attending fire service personnel to switch the system on and assist with speedier clearance of smoke.
